The front of the distillery |
The Distillery Paul DEVOILLE has been founded in 1859 by a home distiller, Xavier DEVOILLE.
His son, Paul DEVOILLE, has developed the firm as a professional distillery. At the beginning of this century, the most popular produces were the Kirsch and the Absinthe, which has been later forbidden.
Nowadays the distillery is always a family firm. René de Miscault and his wife Monette are in charge of the Musée des Eaux de Vie in Lapoutroie (Alsace) where you can see many old stills, bottles collections, posters, etc.
His son, Hugues de Miscault, has been for many years now the managing director of the Distillerie Paul Devoille. His wife, Céline de Miscault is in charge of the tourist promotion.
His daughter, Marie-Béatrice Bickel - de Miscault is responsible for the export.
Here the whole team of the distillery: cellar master, accountant, distiller, commercial assistant, bottling plant driver, etc.
The Distillerie Paul Devoille has always been awarded for the quality of its fruit brandies and liqueurs. In 1985, with his know-how René de Miscault develops the distillery and creates the Musée des Eaux de Vie in Alsace which allows us to promote our products directly to private consumers.
Two other well-known distilleries, the Distillery J.P. Gisselbrecht in Ribeauvillé (Alsace) and the Distillery Lecomte-Blaise in Nol (Vosges) joined some years later to the family firm.
With the combination of all these know-how, our distillery is now a leader on the fruit brandies market with a impressive list of medals.
The marketing of the 4 brands Paul Devoille, René de Miscault, J.P. Gisselbrecht and Lecomte-Blaise is independent. But the cumulated capacity allows us to have various outlets, including big markets, sales to wine-merchants under their own brand, sales with private labels, etc.
The Distillerie Paul Devoille sells its products in France and in many countries all around the world. With its specific know-how, the Distillerie Paul Devoille can answer to various requests and offers special products according the export standard of each market (U.S.A., Japan, Taiwan, etc.).
